Enterprise Partner Designation

What the Enterprise Partner designation is, its requirements and expectations, how to apply, and answers to common questions.

When we relaunched the partner program, we introduced three tiers: Certified, Premium and Enterprise. With the foundations now in place, we’re activating the Enterprise designation and opening applications. This page is the canonical reference for what the designation is, what’s expected, and how it works.

What the Enterprise Partner designation is

The Enterprise Partner designation recognizes partners who are structured to support Softr’s enterprise customers (250+ employees, $250M+ USD annual revenue) at the level those engagements require: procurement and security review, multi-stakeholder rollouts, change management, ongoing support, and continuity over long-term engagements.

It sits alongside (not above or replacing) the Certified and Premium tiers. Most partner activity (leads, deals, advocacy and the bulk of partner revenue) continues to flow through Certified and Premium, which remain the backbone of the program.

Why we’re activating this now

Softr’s enterprise pipeline is growing as we move upmarket. To confidently introduce enterprise customers to a partner, we need to know that partner has the capability, capacity and judgment to act on the customer’s behalf in engagements that look very different from SMB or mid-market work.

A pre-vetted list of Enterprise Partners gives us, and our customers, predictability. It also avoids decisions based on personal connection, community visibility, or who happens to be top-of-mind. Capability and ecosystem impact are the criteria.

What is not changing

  • Commission for partner-sourced enterprise deals. Every partner, regardless of tier, earns the same enterprise commission on enterprise deals you source. The enterprise commission calculator in the partner portal applies to all partners.
  • Leaderboard ranking. Enterprise Partners aren’t perked up the leaderboard. Ranking continues to reflect activity and performance (via Partner Points), not Enterprise designation.
  • MDF accessibility. Marketing Development Fund opportunities remain open to all partners with a strong proposal. MDF decisions are case-by-case and ROI-based.
  • Lead routing for Certified and Premium tiers. SMB and mid-market lead routing continues unchanged.
  • Your ability to do enterprise work. Enterprise customers can find any partner via the partner directory and reach out directly. The Enterprise designation governs how Softr-distributed inbound enterprise leads are routed, not who is allowed to do enterprise work.

What is changing

  • Softr-sourced enterprise lead routing. Enterprise-class leads sourced by Softr are routed to Enterprise Partners. Routing is a curated manual match based on geography, specialization and capacity, not auto-distribution. In the rare case no Enterprise Partner fits, we’ll explore alternatives manually.
  • Partner directory. Enterprise Partners receive a directory badge and a filter for prospects searching the directory.
  • MDF priority. When MDF decisions involve a trade-off between two opportunities, Enterprise Partners are prioritized. Priority, not exclusivity: strong proposals from any tier remain welcome.
  • Visibility. Enterprise Partners are featured in Softr communications (newsletters, social, partner spotlights).
  • Solutions Architect involvement. Enterprise Partners may be looped in as Solutions Architects on complex enterprise builds, working alongside Softr sales and CS teams.

Requirements

Applicants must meet all of the following:

  • Premium Partner status. Current Softr Premium Partner, or a Premium Partner within the last 12 months.
  • Professional liability insurance. Active coverage of at least $1M USD (or local currency equivalent).
  • Enterprise client experience. At least two enterprise clients (250+ employees, $250M+ USD annual revenue), with case studies or reference material available.
  • Professional services offering. Clear pricing, timelines and phases in quoting; defined quality control mechanisms; high-quality documentation.
  • Team capacity of 4+ people, covering: Softr development (front-end, backend, business logic, workflows, APIs, custom code), account management (onboarding, offboarding, regular check-ins, stakeholder management), change management, internal escalation management, training, ongoing support, and legal/IT security counsel (may be external).

Each requirement maps to a real enterprise need. Insurance is procurement table stakes, the team of four exists so that a single point of failure can’t derail an engagement, function coverage reflects what enterprise SOWs actually require, and prior references demonstrate proven (not aspirational) capability.

Expectations

Beyond the requirements above, Enterprise Partners are expected to:

  • Demonstrate Softr as a primary platform. Applicants where Softr appears secondary will receive feedback and be invited to reapply in 6 months.
  • Stay current on Softr capabilities. The platform evolves rapidly. We invest in enablement (training, the Vibe Coding skill, design system tooling, ambassador program); partners are expected to keep pace and confidently advocate for what Softr can do.
  • Bring Softr into the loop early when a use case appears to require a competitor. We may be able to prioritize the feature or suggest an alternative approach, workaround or advanced use case. Lead source needs to be honored throughout the engagement.
  • Maintain strong customer outcomes. We monitor enterprise client churn on partner-supported deals as part of staying closely aligned with our Enterprise Partners.

These are expectations: they reflect how we work together so that enterprise customers succeed and the partnership endures.

Application and timeline

Apply

Submit your application via the Partner Portal.

Review

The Partnerships Manager pre-vets each application against the requirements and expectations. Final designation decisions are made jointly with Softr leadership.

First decisions

For applications already submitted, we aim to make first decisions within 3–6 weeks. New applications are reviewed on a rolling basis thereafter.

Designation

Once designated, you receive your partner directory badge, are added to the Enterprise routing pool, and are looped into relevant Softr communications and opportunities.

Maintenance

The designation does not expire and is maintained through ongoing performance. It can be removed in cases of sustained issues, for example lapsed insurance, loss of team capacity, or a pattern of customer escalations on partner-supported enterprise engagements.

Considerations and FAQ

We’ve thought carefully about how this designation affects the broader partner community. Below are our considerations and answers to common questions.

Why are we activating this now?

The designation was introduced when we relaunched the partner program. We’ve been building the foundations (sales motion, go-to-market, product capabilities for enterprise SaaS), and now is the right time to activate the tier so we can confidently route enterprise customers to partners ready to support them.

Why a separate tier instead of case-by-case routing?

Predictability: for partners (so investment in capability pays off), for customers (so we can credibly promise enterprise-ready support), and for our own operations. A pre-vetted list also avoids decisions based on personal connection or community visibility, and instead reflects capability and ecosystem impact.

Why a new tier instead of raising the Premium bar?

Premium is about proven Softr quality at scale. Enterprise is about Softr quality plus organizational capacity for complex, multi-stakeholder engagements. Different axes. A great Premium partner who excels in SMB or mid-market shouldn’t have to suddenly grow to four people just to keep their tier.

Most current partners won't qualify today. How is that fair?

Most won’t qualify today, and that’s by design, not a judgment on partner quality. The requirements reflect what enterprise clients need to be successful. We acknowledge this isn’t the only way to approach it, but we believe it’s in the best interest of clients and the long-term health of the partner ecosystem. Certified and Premium remain the core of the program, with unchanged perks and lead match routing.

Is there a commission difference between tiers?

For partner-sourced enterprise deals, no. Every partner regardless of tier earns the same enterprise commission, calculable in the partner portal. The differentiator for Enterprise Partners is access to Softr-sourced enterprise leads, MDF priority and visibility, not a commission tax on the rest of the program. This may be revisited in the future, but no change is planned in the near term.

How many enterprise leads are we actually talking about?

A handful per quarter to start, growing as Softr’s enterprise pipeline grows. We’d rather be honest about this than oversell. The value of the designation is positioning for the ramp, not immediate volume.

Do I need to be exclusive to Softr?

No. We don’t require exclusivity, and we welcome partnerships with complementary tools (automation, databases, workflow). What we do prefer is that Enterprise Partners not hold equivalent partnership designations with direct Softr competitors (other no-code app builders), since enterprise customer recommendations carry real weight and we want partners who can advocate for Softr without conflict.

The insurance requirement is expensive. Why is it a hard bar?

Procurement at enterprise clients often won’t sign without it: it’s table stakes, not bureaucracy. We acknowledge it’s a real cost. We also recognize this means not every partner will pursue the Enterprise designation, and that’s fine: the partner ecosystem is healthier with a range of specialties and volumes.

What if I'm a freelancer with strong enterprise experience?

The team-of-4 requirement is structural, not technical. It exists so that a single point of failure (illness, departure, capacity limits) can’t derail an enterprise engagement. Freelancers can be Premium Partners; the Enterprise designation requires minimum team capacity.

I'm close but missing one requirement. Can I still apply?

We’re holding the bar at the listed requirements. If we make exceptions, the bar erodes quickly. Please reapply when you’ve met the requirements; we’re happy to provide feedback on what you’d need to demonstrate.

Will the leaderboard ranking change?

No. Enterprise Partners aren’t perked up. Ranking continues to reflect activity and performance (via Partner Points), not designation.

How does MDF priority work in practice?

MDF is case-by-case and ROI-based, open to all partners with a strong proposal. Priority means that if we need to make a trade-off between two opportunities, the Enterprise Partner is prioritized. For most opportunities, partners at any tier with the right pitch are welcome to apply. More on the upcoming ambassador program will follow separately.

Are Enterprise Partners exclusive on Softr-sourced enterprise leads?

In most cases, yes: Softr-sourced enterprise leads route to Enterprise Partners. In the rare case no Enterprise Partner is a good fit, we’ll explore alternatives manually (geography, specialization), but this is the exception.

Does the designation have geographic limits? What about non-US partners?

The designation is global. The $1M USD insurance requirement applies as the equivalent in your local currency.

How is the designation maintained? Can it be removed?

The designation does not auto-expire. We stay closely aligned with Enterprise Partners on customer outcomes. Removal happens in cases of sustained issues (lapsed insurance, loss of team capacity, or a pattern of customer escalations on partner-supported enterprise deals).

What does Softr commit to?

Beyond access to enterprise leads and visibility, we’re investing in partner enablement: training resources and an upcoming ambassador program. Mutual investment is the deal: Softr equips partners; partners advocate for Softr.

Who do I contact with questions?

Leo (Partnerships Manager) is happy to talk through any of this in DMs or in the next Partner Monthly Meetup.

In closing

We’re activating the Enterprise Partner designation because Softr’s enterprise customers deserve partners who can support them at the level enterprise engagements require, and our partner ecosystem deserves a clear path for partners ready to operate at that level. The bar is high because client needs are high, not because we’re trying to make the program harder to participate in. Certified and Premium remain the heart of the program, and Enterprise opens a new lane for partners with the capability and capacity to fill it.
