Partner Ranking

How partners earn and lose points, how the rolling window and new-partner multiplier work, and the point value of every activity.

Softr partners earn (or lose) points based on key partner activities.

Points accrue over a rolling 90 day period to determine your current rank. This ranking is used as the default sort for the Softr partner directory, and partners must maintain a top 20% rank to qualify for the Premium Partner tier.

  • To prevent rankings from being overly dynamic, points accrued 91–180 days ago are also factored in at a 0.25 multiple.
  • To give new partners the opportunity to earn their way into the ranks, points accrued during a partner’s first 90 days in the program receive a 1.3 multiple.

You can monitor your current rank on the partner leaderboard and review your point activity on your portal profile page.

Revenue points

Partners earn points for monthly subscription revenue by registering projects in the partner portal.

Points are awarded monthly for the prior month’s total monthly subscription revenue across all registered projects. For example, if a partner has 2 registered projects, one with a $200 monthly subscription and one with a $2,400 annual subscription, that’s $400 of monthly revenue.

  • Points typically appear around the 15th of each month, when we pull revenue data for your registered projects.
  • Points are not awarded for any months prior to the partner registering the project in the portal.
  • Point tracking begins the month the project was registered in the portal. The “Project start” date has no impact.
  • Revenue is awarded 1 of 2 possible point values depending on how the customer was connected to the partner:
    • Connected through Softr Partners (partner directory, “get matched” form, internal referral): “Softr connected”, 0.125 point per $1 USD.
    • Connected outside Softr Partners: “Partner connected”, 0.25 point per $1 USD.

Partners continue earning points for all registered projects for as long as the associated subscription remains active, with these exceptions:

  • If the customer submits a feedback survey stating the project has ended and their final partner satisfaction rating is a 1 or 2 (out of 5), the partner immediately stops receiving points for that customer’s subscription.
  • If the customer cancels their subscription and then reactivates:
    • If the subscription remained inactive for 6 months or longer, the partner no longer receives points for that revenue after reactivation.
    • If the subscription reactivates less than 6 months from cancellation, the partner continues receiving points for revenue after reactivation.
  • The “Project end” date has no impact.

User points

Partners earn points for monthly active users by registering projects in the partner portal.

Points are awarded monthly for the prior month’s total active user count across all registered projects. For example, if a partner has 2 registered projects, one with 300 active users and one with 100, that’s 400 total active users.

  • Points typically appear around the 15th of each month, when we pull user data for your registered projects.
  • An active user is a user who has been seen in the Softr app within the past 30 days.
  • Points are not awarded for any months prior to the partner registering the project in the portal.
  • Point tracking begins the month the project was registered. The “Project start” date has no impact.
  • The same exceptions as for revenue points apply (low final survey rating; reactivation after 6+ months of inactivity).

Customer surveys

Customer feedback surveys are sent by the partner from the project details page in the Partner Portal using the Send survey action. The action appears only once the project’s Project end date is set to today or earlier.

The survey is presented to the customer as a short form titled Softr Partners Feedback Survey, with three required fields:

  • A 1–5 star rating of the partner’s performance.
  • A Project status dropdown for the current status of the project.
  • A Feedback text area asking what’s gone well and what could have been better.

The survey link is unique per project: hidden URL parameters automatically tie the customer’s response back to the partner’s project record.

The Softr Partners Feedback Survey: a 1 to 5 star rating, a project status dropdown and a feedback text area, with a Submit button

Each project can hold one customer survey response. Once a response has been recorded, that project cannot receive another survey. If the request does not reach the customer’s inbox (and is not in their spam folder), it can be resent from the project details page.

Partners are advised to mention the survey to the customer in advance and note that it should be completed once per project.
